SuperMac sold our graphic boards for the Macintosh through multiple distribution channels: direct sales to major accounts, national chains, independent rep firms, etc. But the computer retail channel was a large part of our sales. Or blame my MarCom department who approved it. Worry about the sales results. What did we learn?

For instance, if a consultant proposes to help you with public relations, pay them a commission equivalent to the greater of a flat fee per story placed or a percentage of revenue generated from the PR coverage. Such positions include: PR, Sales, Product Development, Lead Generation, Strategic Planning, Fund Raising, etc.

When I first moved to California from New York in 1996 I saw the success of juice bars. I was pre-revenue and was spending money working with companies to formulate my product, for product packaging, etc. As I mentioned, my wife had been working in PR, and her efforts were getting her hotel in lots of magazines.
