For some reason, I haven’t heard much about the next generation of the Internet ( Web 3.0 ) lately, which probably means it isn’t happening as fast as everyone predicted. I suspect the real challenge is not the semantic web technology , but new attractive business models from smart entrepreneurs. are appearing. are appearing.

So Google launched Google AdWord and AdSense based in part on technology it acquired when it bought an LA-based company called Applied Semantics.

Can you believe all the talk these days about Web 3.0? I’ve been doing some research to assess how much of it is reality, since I have to admit that I seem to have missed the clues to the transition to Web 2.0, After some work, I’m still convinced that much of the Web 3.0 People on the Web now include everyone.

Personally, I believe that the Semantic Web will become mainstream in the next few years (I actually have a bet on this with some college friends). After reading the wonderful blogpost on the BBC’s dynamic semantic publishing system , it reminded me that the Semantic Web has two audiences: the common web user (my mom) and developers.
