If you sell stuff you don’t make, add a personal touch and recommendations—tell the customer why you personally recommend this product and how it will help them. People like to customize stuff. I played around for like 30 minutes customizing my laptop. Does customization make money? questions from potential buyers.

Rent seeking lobbyists go directly to legislative bodies (Congress, State Legislatures, City Councils) to persuade government officials to enact laws and regulations in exchange for campaign contributions , appeasing influential voting blocks or future jobs in the regulated industry.
