Silicon Valley is still emerging from the tech bubble and massive downturn of late 2000-2002. To give you a sense, for 2002 the entire US online ad market was $6B and had shrunk year over year (it was $25B+ for 2010). We three partners are working hard. Great to see you had such a good partner to start with.

Decades later, in 2002, Dutch marketing professor Ale Smidts coined the term “neuromarketing.” ” The Neuromarketing Science and Business Association has published a code of ethics to act as guardrails for those values. Other codes in the business world have similar principles: informed consent, confidentiality, privacy, etc.

I know that most people who are close to them tend to deny their existence, as we saw in the great housing bubble of 2002-2007 and the dot com bubble of 1997-2000. It’s like people arguing that there’s a beautiful beach house in 2006 that represents great long-term value due to scarcity of similar property. Have a cushion.

Yes, there are a few self-taught naturals, like Bubba Watson, and, uh…Sam Snead (1912–2002). Even the states that don’t really have hubs have designated some farm land as their tech center in an attempt to keep all their young creative class from migrating to the major cities where careers are plentiful.
