The movie, “The Social Network” might have had more of an impact on creating future entrepreneurs than any other event of the past 5 years. In 1998 there were around 850 VC funds and by 2000 there were 2,300. In 1998 it was 150 million, 1999 250 million and by 2000 it had crossed 350 million. Mobility really changes everything.

As you can see from the charts below the mobile share of internet traffic share is up over 3x in under a year and time spent on social media is up 37% year on year to 121.1bn minutes in the month of July – I think that is a US figure.
