However, it is wonderful to see steadfast execution from a software startup, and the evolution of a sustainable business in Romania. At today's roundtable, we had a 30-minute segment on Web 3.0

My dad’s father was from Romania. July 4th. The funniest experience I ever had on July 4th (US Independence Day) was in 1999. That was the year I spent July 4th in Tokyo, where I was living for 6 months. I had been living in Europe since the start of 1995, most recently in London. I have always had a strong affinity for Japanese culture, perhaps because I grew up in Northern California. So one of my bucket list items was to live in Japan.

You’ve graduated from the incubator cocoon… now what?

The Next Web

Too often we see companies in Israel, Turkey, and Romania focused on a small investment round to ‘get over the hump’ or as a ‘bridge’ loan before the ‘real A round’. Just like in college, graduates of incubators are sent off to go conquer the world… with the dream of a multi-million dollar exit and dollar signs in their eyes. We often hear of the successful entrepreneurs and start-ups, such as Mark Zuckerberg and Instagram, the lucky (and deserving) 1%.
